Weekend in Lubbock

We headed to Lubbock to see Trent's family over the 4th of July weekend. Mckinley has just learned to wave and she waved at every single person in the airport, whether they acknowledged her or not!

Hello!! See me waving?!?!
We went to the country club for their festivities and fireworks on Friday. Here are Mckinley and cousin Tripp hanging out on the blanket.

This 4th of July stuff is very exciting!
But this time around, MK wore out before the fireworks even started. At least she was able to sleep right through them . . .

Mckinley also has learned to point, at anything or nothing. Look over there GranPatty!

Swimmin' with Chief

See Tripp, this is how you point!

And here we are back home. Bailey loves Mckinley, especially now that she's eating all kinds of yummy foods that occassionally drop from her highchair.
Another proud parent moment happened this last weekend . . Mckinley started crawling! She's been scooting around, but on Saturday she just got up on her hands and knees and crawled right across the room! So now that she's mobile, let the fun begin . . . .

Fire and Water

We live in a wonderful neighborhood that has tons of family activities. This last weekend they did a 4th of July celebration and Miss M got to see her first fireworks!

The served bbq and hotdogs, so we went down and had dinner and Mckinley was having a blast.

She got in some good Daddy time, which is her favorite part of the weekends!

Then the fireworks began . . . .

This is great! I didn't even notice it was 2 hours past my bedtime!

Here comes the second firework . . . we're just getting started . . .

And that will do for now. Maybe this weekend she'll see more than 2 fireworks before passing out!
This is her new "wrinkled nose" smile. Pictures do not do it justice, it is hilarious! And she knows it makes us laugh, so she does it often!
She is pulling up on anything she can get her hands on these days. This girl is ready to walk!

We have quite the little water baby, so we decided it was time to put in a pool!

Here we are playing at the park with our friend Jackson.

And here is just a glimpse of bath time at the Mattison house . . . . .

We are going to visit Trent's family for the 4th, so I hope to have more pictures to share!
