$10 off diapers

I just placed an order from and and I thought I would share this info with you other busy moms . . . the prices seemed to be the same on some things and definitely less on others ($2 less on Platex drop-ins than in my grocery store) and with no tax and free shipping on orders over $50, it seems like a pretty good deal. Also, there is $10 OFF COUPON CODE in Parents magazine with a $50 purchase (PARENTS4). Also, on all orders over $75, you get a 5% credit to use towards your next purchase.

For formula fed babies, the price for the large Enfamil was the same as at my Costco, but again no tax and free shipping saves me a trip to the superstore for just formula . . . Anyway, I hope someone finds this info useful. One more thought, they sell gift certificates, which I think I will add to my list of great baby gifts.

I'll leave you with that thought and with this . . .

2008 already???

We had a very whirlwind holiday season and it's very hard to believe that it's already 2008! We had planned to stay home this Christmas, but Trent's grandfather passed away on the 23rd, so we headed to Lubbock early on the 26th. Poppy had been sick for a while, so fortunately we had been to Lubbock just a couple of months ago to see him and introduce him to Mckinley and he'd really had a chance to say his goodbyes and come to terms with everything. So our visit to Lubbock was a nice one, time together with family and lots of reflecting on the favorite memories of time spent with Poppy.

It was very cold in Dallas and in Lubbock, so we had to keep Mckinley bundled. Fortunately, she loves her hat!

We flew home on Friday morning and then went over to my brother's house to be with my family for the evening.

Then, Trent's brother and his wife and their 2 boys came in from Lubbock on Sunday to spend the week with us. We had a New Year's party at our house so we could put all the kids to bed and have some adult time! However, our little party girl just happened to wake up at 11:45 . . just in time to ring in the new year. She went back to bed about 12:30, she just didn't want to miss out on the fun!

Also celebrating with friends Walker and Stephanie

Hanging out with mommy (check out those awesome earrings . . made by CAK jewelry!)

Mckinley's New Year's Eve playdate . . playing with cousin Tripp is so much fun!

(10 minutes later . . ) but it is also very exhausting.

During the week we took cousin Tucker and cousin Tripp to their first visit to Rainforest Cafe. Tucker is checking out the gorilla!

Mckinley is checking out the fish with Daddy.

Then we also went with Aunt Jenny, Tucker and Tripp to the Dallas Aquarium (which is awesome, by the way!) Mckinley is hanging out with the flamingos. But she told me the penguins were her favorite. And Tucker taught me a very valuable mommy lesson . . as we walked past the snakes, my involuntary reaction was to say "Yuck!". For the rest of the week if you asked Tucker what he saw at the Aquarium he would mention the "yucky snakes!" And he likes snakes! Who knew he even heard me? They are just little sponges!

Mckinley is also working on sitting up . . . which makes her look ridiculously like a big girl! Oh how time flies . . .

So, today is the first day in over 2 weeks that it's just Mckinley and me at home. I think she is bored with me already. We both enjoyed the hustle and bustle of a houseful of people! Maybe we'll just have to start thinking about adding another little one to the mix . . . . (Just kidding! For now anyway!)
